Canada’s Vaping Regulations are Getting Tightened

The Government of Canada is planning to introduce legislation later this fall to regulate vaping.

CANADA — Health Canada is looking to make vaping products available to adult smokers who are using vaping to quit smoking, but protect the young population from nicotine intake.

This comes shortly after the Government of Canada introduced a proposed ban to the selling of menthol cigarettes, and roughly six to twelve months before the potential-legalization of marijuana throughout the country.

The Government informs that the younger population has increasingly been using vaping products such as e-cigarettes, and more specifically, flavored e-cigarettes, and it may be a gateway to smoking cigarettes due to their introduction to nicotine.

Numerous municipalities across the nation have already introduced measures on vaping in public.

A Senior Policy Adviser at the Canadian Cancer Society says:

It’s clearly something that needs regulation.Rob Cunningham

Vaping is constantly rising in popularity in Canada year over year.

Lol and people also think you can get second hand vape cancer too hahaha

The media, the government, people who don’t vape, have no idea what they are talking about and that’s unfortunate because it could really help and save a lot of lives but in the end it doesn’t stop those who know the benefits and can proudly say they are completely off tobacco products. Those who drink alcohol yet believe all this stuff about vaping being so bad because of the little nicotine some get added are so misinformed and it’s all the medias fault, it’s really unfortunate that the proper studies or research hasnt been done to properly educate the public

I wonder if the new regulation will include getting rid of flavors like they did menthol since its “appealing to children”

I know right? But thats literally the reason they banned any cigarette flavor from Canada. Which makes me wonder about stricter vaping laws they will soon push for .

I am so sick and tired of smokers being treated like pariah of society! Smoking is LEGAL…period! Vaping is NOT spreading nicotine, etc… through the air and it’s LEGAL…period! STOP attacking smokers! No, I don’t smoke. I quit years ago. But people will be more acceptable and sympathetic to DRUG ADDICTS than smokers! Enough. Society needs to look at the true dangerous drug out there – ALCOHOL!!!!

Health Canada must be fucking stupid. People will find something else, that’s all. Probably harsher. Let it rest and let us fucking smoke if we want to
