Edmonton Police Warns: Man Released from Edmonton Remand Centre with Prior Sexual Assault & Violence Convictions

For public safety reasons, the EPS informs the public about a previously convicted man being released.

On the evening of Monday, August 15, 2016, 44 year old Clifford Berard was released from the Edmonton Remand Centre. The Edmonton Police Service is taking the interest of Edmontonians into account and made a public warning about his release.

According to the EPS:

Berard has previous convictions for sexual and violent offenses and is known to have infectious diseases. The Edmonton Police Service considers Berard to be a violent sexual offender who poses a risk to the community.EdmontonPolice.ca

Clifford Berard is described as:
  • 6 foot 4 inches tall
  • Brown hair and brown eyes
  • Weighing approximately 270 pounds

Berard informs the EPS that he will continue to reside in Edmonton now that he has been released from the Remand Centre.
