Happening Now — ATB Place & KRP Building Glowing Purple Tonight in Honor of Prince

It was announced earlier today that singer/songwriter Prince had passed away at the age of 57.

He was well known for his song Purple Raim, and thus ATB Financial has taken it upon themselves to light up their ATB Place building in downtown Edmonton in purple.

Here is the original tweet by ATB Financial themselves:

May he rest in peace, and condolences to his friends, family & fans around the world.

UPDATE 10:51 PM — The KRP building in downtown Edmonton has also lit their logo in purple.

Do you know of any other buildings lit up in purple? Please share the photos with us.

Unfortunately, there were no plans to light up the High Level Bridge in purple tonight, and looking into social media, it does not look like they did. They had planed to light it up green and white to celebrate Edmonton’s Meals on Wheels
47th Anniversary.
