City of Edmonton and Direct Energy Hosting Another One of their ‘Movies on the Square’ • ‘Zootopia’ Playing on Tuesday, August 16

The City & Direct Energy have partnered up to provide another Movies on the Square event next week.

The movie that they’ve decided to play this time around during Movies on the Square on Tuesday, August 16th is Disney’s movie ‘Zootopia.’  The movie will be playing on a massive inflatable screen.

Movies on the Square takes place in the heart of downtown Edmonton, at Sir Winston Churchill Square.

There will be pre-movie entertainment starting at 7 o’clock sharp. The movie itself will begin as soon as dusk hits.

The event is hosted free of charge, and so ticket admission is not necessary.

Just to make things clear, this event is not a drive-in movie, but rather, a movie playing outdoors. You should probably bring lawn chairs or something comfortable to sit on while enjoying the evening’s entertainment.

You are best to take city transit, as parking around the Square can be quite difficult to find, especially with many others expected to attend the outdoor event.

Keep in mind that the movie may be cancelled if severe weather is in the forecast during the event’s hours.

Last week – on August 9th – Movies on the Square provided Edmontonians with the ‘Angry Birds’ movie, which has yet to be released for purchase on store shelves.
