Will Kevin O’Leary Run for Prime Minister of Canada? It is Very Likely

“Rachel Notley is incompetent. I’m sorry, but it’s true.” – Kevin O’Leary

Nobody knows for certain if Dragons’ Den & Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary will be running for Prime Minister of Canada anytime soon, but there’s a pretty good chance that he will be, according to some of the things Mr. Wonderful himself has been saying over the months.

When asked the question directly, Mr. O’Leary seems to dodge an actual factual answer, instead stating that it’s just too early to commit to anything anytime soon.

But what we do know for certain, is that he’s got an incredible background in business — whether it’s starting, owning, running, or selling one. He’s had a ton of experience with public speaking, is far from being camera shy, and is not afraid to speak his mind.

Mr. O’Leary has great passion and love for the country of Canada. Although most of his time is spent abroad, he was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1954 and has a home in Toronto, Ontario, albeit several homes and rentals in the United States as well.

Quite interestingly enough, Mr. Wonderful stated the following in regard to being asked about running for leadership:

I don’t need that much time to set up my infrastructure. I already enjoy a wide dialog, and have a wide constituency. I’m enjoying great numbers in the polls, so I have multiple options. […] Do I have to be prime minister to do that? Maybe not. Maybe I take a different role. Maybe I back some other constituent. Who knows?Kevin O’Leary

Watch the full interview where he says this, just below.

WATCH — O’Leary says he’ll ‘fix’ Canada’s economy, restore growth:

Mr. O’Leary is not at all impressed with our current Prime Minister; Justin Trudeau, and has made that very clear in the following statement:

What got me so concerned about Trudeau part 2, is this. In the first 60 days, […] he left this country and spent $4.2 billion of my money, and didn’t create one incremental job for any graduating cohort. That should really bother you, because that sets the tonality of this government – to spend recklessly, and huge risk comes into that. […]Kevin O’Leary

Now here are some answers to what he would do, if he were to run:

The two most up-voted comments on the video above read:

Canada needs Kevin O’Leary RIGHT NOW! But we’ll have to settle for 2019.Tim Miller

and

Please run, I’ll work on your campaign! We are about to go into heavy debt as a country. It has to be stopped.Anne O.

It just goes to show that if Mr. O’Leary does in fact run for Prime Minister of Canada, he may very well have quite the chance at becoming just that.

If you watch the video, you will also notice that he is not too happy with how Rachel Notley; the Premier of Alberta, is running things either, and has made this clear on more than one occasion.

In fact, he has even offered to pledge $1 million in Canadian oil if Rachel Notley stepped down as Premier. Watch that video below.

WATCH — Kevin O’Leary’s $1M pledge:

[According to Maclean’s] Kevin O’Leary is already at the top of the polls when it comes to leading the Conservative Party.

O’Leary even went as far as to say he’d be willing to “take over” Justin Trudeau’s position by running for leader of the Liberal Party.

But the ultimate question still remains unanswered: Does he want to?

O’Leary mentioned in an interview that there is no rush to spill these details yet, and that more will be known come October of this year into the first quarter of next year. “It’s too early at this point,” he states.

In your honest opinion, would you approve of a Kevin O’Leary leadership for this country? Please let us know below.

Here is one final video interview done with The Rebel that may make you want to vote for him if/when he runs:

I will report in October with any new information.

KO wasn’t very first choice for PM but now he’s my only choice. The more i read about him… the more i like and respect him. He comes out with comments that match my thoughts completely. He’s 100% on the money. Not only that, like he said. You can’t run a country until you’re learned how to run corporations successfully. JT isn’t fit or qualified to run a lemonade stand.

The fact is he cannot win: he doesn’t speak french and has no intention to learn it. Tories here in the west might select him to be Conservative leader, but he has no credibility as a potential Prime Minister if it’s impossible for him to gain any support in 1/4 of the country.

Kevin has a track record that does not include pre-school teacher, are we sure he is qualified, AND he has no hair, how can we trust him? Seriously I would actually be an involved supported and do everything I could possibly do to get him elected; HE KNOWS what he is talking about. Political Mr. Wonderful!
