“Rachel Notley is incompetent. I’m sorry, but it’s true.” – Kevin O’Leary
Nobody knows for certain if Dragons’ Den & Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary will be running for Prime Minister of Canada anytime soon, but there’s a pretty good chance that he will be, according to some of the things Mr. Wonderful himself has been saying over the months.
When asked the question directly, Mr. O’Leary seems to dodge an actual factual answer, instead stating that it’s just too early to commit to anything anytime soon.
But what we do know for certain, is that he’s got an incredible background in business — whether it’s starting, owning, running, or selling one. He’s had a ton of experience with public speaking, is far from being camera shy, and is not afraid to speak his mind.
Mr. O’Leary has great passion and love for the country of Canada. Although most of his time is spent abroad, he was born in Montreal, Quebec in 1954 and has a home in Toronto, Ontario, albeit several homes and rentals in the United States as well.
Quite interestingly enough, Mr. Wonderful stated the following in regard to being asked about running for leadership:
I don’t need that much time to set up my infrastructure. I already enjoy a wide dialog, and have a wide constituency. I’m enjoying great numbers in the polls, so I have multiple options. […] Do I have to be prime minister to do that? Maybe not. Maybe I take a different role. Maybe I back some other constituent. Who knows?Kevin O’Leary

Mr. O’Leary is not at all impressed with our current Prime Minister; Justin Trudeau, and has made that very clear in the following statement:
What got me so concerned about Trudeau part 2, is this. In the first 60 days, […] he left this country and spent $4.2 billion of my money, and didn’t create one incremental job for any graduating cohort. That should really bother you, because that sets the tonality of this government – to spend recklessly, and huge risk comes into that. […]Kevin O’Leary

Please run, I’ll work on your campaign! We are about to go into heavy debt as a country. It has to be stopped.Anne O.
It just goes to show that if Mr. O’Leary does in fact run for Prime Minister of Canada, he may very well have quite the chance at becoming just that.
If you watch the video, you will also notice that he is not too happy with how Rachel Notley; the Premier of Alberta, is running things either, and has made this clear on more than one occasion.
In fact, he has even offered to pledge $1 million in Canadian oil if Rachel Notley stepped down as Premier. Watch that video below.

[According to Maclean’s] Kevin O’Leary is already at the top of the polls when it comes to leading the Conservative Party.
O’Leary even went as far as to say he’d be willing to “take over” Justin Trudeau’s position by running for leader of the Liberal Party.
But the ultimate question still remains unanswered: Does he want to?
