Cyle Larsen, 27, Untreated Sexual Offender Now in Edmonton, Very Likely to Re-Offend

Edmonton Police Service has issued a notice about 27-year-old sexual offender Cyle Larsen, who was released from Calgary’s Correctional Centre, and is now residing in Edmonton, with high belief that he will sexually assault an underage person yet again.

EDMONTON | It upsets me that we are here once again, back with another precautionary article regarding a sexual offender now residing in our city, but the word needs to be spread so that we and our children are as safe as can be on our streets.

His name is Cyle Larsen, and he has a terrible past of numerous sexual offenses, particularly towards children. Unlucky for us, he was recently released from the Calgary Correctional Centre and is now residing in Edmonton under the supervision of the EPS’s Behavioral Assessment Unit.

Larsen is 27 years of age, with a height of 5 feet 6 inches, weighing approximately 120 pounds, with blue eyes and black hair. He’s been making himself infamous on police websites and news reports for nearly a decade now, warning of his impending danger.

Pay close attention to this portion of the release by EPS:

“Larsen is considered an untreated child sex offender with pedophilic interests towards both male and female children. Larsen has a history of opportunistic offending against children known to him; however, is also believe to be at risk of offending against victims unknown to him and has shown he will groom and/or lure his victims if given the chance.”

Edmonton Police Service

The EPS wrote this notice to warn Edmontonians about this potentially harmful man in an attempt to forewarn you, and asks that you do not take this as an invitation to engage in any form of vigilante action. The world needs less harm; not more.

Cyle Larsen has been placed on a number of court-ordered conditions. You can view them all on the EPS website here.

Please take a second to share this article in an attempt to get the word out there with me. It’s always better to be safe rather than sorry; especially when Edmonton Police explicitly state that this man is more than likely to commit another illegal sexual act whilst residing in our city.

I think flyers of this guy need to go up all over the city. we also need a website of all convicted pedophiles living in Edmonton and area with map of where they live for ppl to protect children in the community. They have that in California. Has their pic, charge, offender status and conditions too. We need this.

Believe it or not, I actually started something like this for provinces across Canada last year, but never continued with it due to time constraints. The Alberta division was called Alberta Aware Report, and it provided these kinds of things, along with weather warnings, amber alerts, dangers, and so much more… It didn’t include missing people people I also created Alberta Missing Report (https://alberta.missing.report). I may look into getting Aware Report back up and running.

Are you kidding me you send people to jail for two years on a flipping breach of probation offa some loose charges and this pedofie is released untreated and he’s likely to reoffend. Soooo let me just point this out if you’re going to murder or do some armed robbery or something just sexually assault the body n you’ll be out in no time even if you didn’t have to do treatment even if they think you’re likely to re offend. At least that’s what I got from reading between the lines
And were supposed to be thankful for this message
EPS you should have opened this alert with “were sorry we failed and were GOING to be failing again” heres our taxes hard at work but not as hard this guys roll of toonies that used to be a Roll of dimes right before he walked by the playground.
This is not how taxes should be spent you make me sick! Anyone who can’t see how absolutely redonkulous this political and judicial rigamorole has become we’ve gotten so numb to it we don’t even consider the aforementioned facts I just pointed out time to put more flouride in the water

AS A SURVIVOR of rape and sexual abuse, I PROPOSE an idea,,, if the offender is known to reoffend, DONT LET them out!! Not all victims get justice. “Justice” is never served in any sense. Set up an Annex or a farm ( like at Bowden) , they can live in the annex, work the farm. They arent in jail, but they arent free to reoffend. When rhey prove they cannot be placed back into your community, then dont place them in someone elses.
Thatvis wjat I dont understand. Why is someone still in jail for selling pot 15vyrs ago , yet these sick people ( i mean truly ill and UNTREATED, get released. Why are then are they allowed to be considered for release if “untreated”??? After a suspect has had 1 fair trial and guilt is proven, no lawyer should ever represent. Ever.

Wonder what kind of punishment an upstanding citizen would face if they had to defend a young loved one from this vile predator? I sincerely hope this never happens, but are you ready to protect your loved ones in the absence of a justice system to protect us? I think we all should take a hard moment to think about this – I am ready & sick of our system protecting the wrong people. This crooked face pervert will be easy to spot with those evil eyes. ** he has a twin and they are both predators. Stay safe fellow Edmontonian’s.

If a dad ever has to defend his child from this monster, and is charged for his actions, we need a massive gofundme for the dad, to defend his actions and set precedents.

This is ridiculous!! Every other day we here of a ‘High Risk Offender’ being released into the public.
Under strict supervision!!! Give me a break. There’s no way to stop these people from reoffending.
Instead of just bitching about these SICK criminals (it’s a fact that they cannot be cured) we all need to be putting pressure on our elected officials to change the judicial system to keep them locked up. The label ‘High Risk Offender’ should come with a lifetime sentence away from the public.
    Enough is enough!!!!
