UPDATED — There are Two Drive-In/Outdoor Movies Happening in Edmonton This Weekend

DYK Post

Miss the days where you could just park the car and watch a movie in the starry night sky?

UPDATED at 10:55 PM, July 8 — “Inclement weather for tomorrow – movie will be rescheduled until next Saturday (July 16). Sorry for any inconvenience.” — Terwillegar Community League Events

Starting at 10 PM sharp on Friday, July 8th, there will be a family drive-in movie night happening at the Corpus Christi Church in south Edmonton.

At that same time on Saturday, July 9th, there will be an outdoor (not drive-in) movie at Terwillegar’s South Park.

The address to the Corpus Christi Church is 2707 34 Street, T6T 1P5.
Terwillegar South Park is located at 7170 South Terwillegar Blvd.

WHAT MOVIE? — The movie that will be playing at Corpus Christi Church is Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day.”

The movie that will be playing in Terwillegar is “Star Wars — The Force Awakens.”

PRICE? — Tickets at the church are going for $20 per vehicle. You are allowed to have up to 5 people in said vehicle.

The outdoor Terwillegar movie is free of charge.

WANT TICKETS? — If you are interested in getting your tickets for the church event (you must get them in advance), you can do so by heading to the Corpus Christi Church, or by calling their office at 780.466.7576.

CAN’T MAKE IT? — If you cannot make it to either of these drive-in movie nights, the church is expecting to have a second drive-in movie night sometime in August.

The Terwillegar Community League is expecting to have their next event on July 23rd, which will be a “grown up night.” They hope to have acquired a liquor license by that point.

The shows will only be canceled if weather isn’t co-operating.
