Ladies and gentlemen, have you ever dreamed of owning your very own riverboat? Althoug doubtful for most, for the few of you that have, now is your chance to bid on Edmonton’s very own QR (Queen Riverboat)!
It has been up for auction since April 8th, with the auction itself ending on May 2nd. The current bid, as of this posting, sits at CAD$21,000, but you can expect it to jump up a bit from there. There have been a total of 9 bids to date.
A little bit about the Class II passenger tour vessel itself. It has a passenger capacity of 399 people. It was built right here in Sherwood Park, with construction started by Scott Steel and the Riverboat Corporation in 1995. The ship is equipped with 440 adult life jackets and 4 inflatable life rafts with a capacity of 75 people each.
