Please be wary of the bills you’re receiving, especially if it’s a $100 bill.
Edmonton Explorer on Twitter has informed us that they received a fake $100 bill earlier this morning.
The bill that was received by one of Edmonton’s locals was created by using the translucent and reflective part of the Canadian $5 bill, with the remainder of the bill being a fake underground printed version of the Canadian $100 bill.
There are quite a few ways people are creating fake Canadian bills, but all of them are quite easy to identify as fake without severe inspection. Taking a quick look at your bills can end up saving you a lot of money one day.

This is not the first time $100 Canadian bills have been counterfeited.
Taking a quick look at Google Images shows many other prior attempts.
Thank you Edmonton Explorer, for helping spread the word about this.
This is a kind reminder that it is crucial to check the bills that you receive throughout the week. After all, once it’s given to you, knowingly or not, it’s officially your loss.
