PHOTOS/VIDEOS: Fort Saskatchewan’s Wicked July 28 Flooding Compilation

Yesterday it was Edmonton, today (July 28) Fort Saskatchewan feels the same flooding pain.

Yesterday, as everyone knows by now, parts of Edmonton were flooding, roads were being closed, offices and restaurants dripping with water from the ceiling, and traffic coming to a near stand still as rain drenched the city.

Today, Fort Saskatchewan feels that same pain. Although not as bad, it was still bad enough to cause a bit of ruckus.

Several Fort Saskatchewanians were devastated to see damage being caused to their gardens. Rivers were turning into what looked like lakes. Sidewalks were being completely engulfed by streams of water. Thunder was crackling, and hail fell everywhere.

Several people took advantage of the free freezer:

Finally, here’s a look at the radar:

Our neighbours to the northeast sure got hit pretty hard today.

Watch out for that lightning!!

These kinds of storms happen every year in these parts, so home owners, prepare ahead of time, not after it has already happened. 😉

If you have any photos or videos of the Fort Sask storm, feel free to send them our way if you’d like them added to the compilation!

Stay safe out there, fellow Albertans! It’s been a pretty wild summer so far! I’m sure there is much more ruckus to come yet.

How is it that I don’t live in either of these places, but managed to end up caught in both storms? What is the universe trying to tell me about my life.. :/
