EDMONTON — As it has for a number of years now, the City of Edmonton has announced their annual Free Admission Day, which provides Edmontonians and those willing to travel, a day to enjoy some of the city’s great centres and attractions with the cover charge taken right off.

Bring the kids for a fun day at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, check out one of numerous recreation centres throughout the city, or go and check out one of Edmonton’s engaging arenas or YMCA centres.

The choice is yours. There are a total of 15 places taking part in Free Admission Day in 2019. There were 18 places in 2018.

The city recommends that you use the LRT and ETS services instead of taking your personal vehicle. Traffic is expected to be incredibly congested, just as it is every year prior.

This is an extremely busy day for Edmontonians. Those not attending, but planning driving, expect major traffic delays. Those attending any of the attractions, except long lineups and leave nice and early.

You can visit a number of attractions throughout the day if you plan your day correctly.

Most importantly, those planning on taking part in Free Admission Day, I hope you and your families have a great time!
