Edmonton Police released information to the public about a convicted violent & sexual offender now residing with us in Edmonton, and they have reason to believe he very well may attack again.
EDMONTON | There’s a new neighbor back on our streets – and believe you me – it’s not one I’m excited to be writing about this morning. According to the Edmonton Police Service, 51-year-old Michael Rhoads (UPDATE: also known as Conan on the streets, thanks to an anonymous tipster) is a convicted violent and sexual offender who is now residing in Edmonton. We are unsure of what neighbourhood he lives in or what area he frequents most.
UPDATE: We’ve since been told by an anonymous reader that Rhoads hangs out around the Bissel Co-Op and Gazebo area, so that clears things up a bit with general location.
Michael Rhoads is 51 years of age, with a height of 5 feet 7 inches, weighing approximately 205 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
“Rhoads has a history of violence towards intimate partners and strangers he has encountered on the street or in bars. His risk for violence increases significantly when under the influence of alcohol and drugs.”

The EPS wrote this notice to warn Edmontonians about this potentially harmful man in an attempt to forewarn you, and ask that you do not take this article as an invitation to engage in any form of vigilante action. The world needs less harm; not more.

Rhoads has been placed on a number of court ordered conditions. You can view them all on the EPS website here.

Please take a second to share this article in an attempt to get the word out there with me. It’s always better to be safe rather than sorry; especially when Edmonton Police explicitly state that this man is more than likely to commit another violent attack whilst residing in our city.
Always be sure to stay aware & safe while you’re out and about.
