Environment Canada has issued a tornado warning for the Mountain View County area.
Just one day after [a tornado crashed through at least one home near Ponoka, Alberta], a tornado is seen roughly 30 minutes north of Calgary.
Details are very scarce at the moment, but I will update you with new information as I am made aware.
Those residing in the Didsbury, Sundre and Airdre areas are being asked to stay cautious and aware. Seek shelter and stay safe.
Mountain View County on map:
STAY SHELTERED — If you live in the area, you are being asked to stay indoors and head to a basement if at all possible.
The original statement:
Happy Canada Day! Please remain safe out there this evening!
