According to a brand new website recently made public, the Valley Line LRT construction will finally begin on April 22nd, 2016.
The Valley Line LRT will be a project that costs over $1 billion, and will provide our locals with a way to get anywhere between Churchill Square in downtown Edmonton, all the way down to Mill Woods Towne Centre in south Edmonton.
The website goes on to state that they expect the full 13 km line to be fully functional through stage one by 2020.
Something interesting that they’ve decided to incorporate into the Valley Line is how the LRT itself will stop to allow traffic to pass if and when it reaches a red light.
