With the announcement made just yesterday by the Canadian Health Minister stating that Canada will be introducing marijuana legalization legislation in the spring of 2017, there are an estimated 80 marijuana dispensaries that have been, and continue to pop up in Toronto, Ontario.
All ~80 of these Toronto dispensaries (most of which are above ground, but some of which are under ground) are actually running entirely illegally. The selling of marijuana in Canada is not legal, and will not be until next year at the earliest.
Truth be told, I’m amazed at the fact that there are roughly 80 of them, let alone one or two. Toronto police are turning a blind eye to these dispensaries, which truth be told, is a bit strange.

Out of pure curiosity, do you know of any marijuana dispensaries running in Edmonton; underground or above? If there are none at the moment, I fully expect our city to be ransacked by dispensaries on every fifth block once the legislation for legalization is completed. Sort of how like it is for us right now with alcohol stores.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for taking advantage of a lucrative and upcoming business idea, but for goodness sake, let’s wait it out until it’s actually legal, shall we? With that said, are there any of you planing to open up a dispensary once things have been taken care of on the legal side of things?
